The Week(s) Ahead is your mission control for scheduled LinkedIn activity. It shows everything you need to do to maintain strategic relationships - which connections to engage with, when dated reminders are due, and what content to publish - organized by date in a clear, actionable view.
Instead of letting the algorithm dictate who you see and engage with, The Week(s) Ahead puts control back in your hands. You decide who matters strategically, set engagement schedules accordingly, and work through your relationship-building tasks systematically. No more scrolling the feed hoping to stumble across important connections’ content. No more forgetting to follow up on promises or missing critical timing windows. Everything you’ve scheduled appears here.
The Week(s) Ahead transforms LinkedIn from a reactive experience (responding to whatever the algorithm surfaces) into a proactive strategy (deliberately engaging with the right people at the right times for strategic reasons).
Accessing The Week(s) Ahead
Go to The Week(s) Ahead from Lime’s main navigation.
Week Selection
Along the top of the page are navigation options for choosing which timeframe to view.
Ambulance Icon (Overdue)
Shows all overdue actions - check-ins you missed, reminders past their due dates, and any other scheduled activities that should have been completed but weren’t.
When to use the Ambulance tab:
- Start here each session to clear backlog before moving to current week
- Prevent overdue tasks from accumulating and becoming overwhelming
- Catch up on missed check-ins with important connections
- Identify whether your schedules are realistic (if Ambulance is always full, you might be over-scheduled and need to adjust)
Click the ambulance icon to see everything overdue. Work through these tasks before addressing your current week’s activities - otherwise overdue items keep piling up while you focus only on new tasks.
Rollercoaster Icon (Rolling Week)
Shows actions due in the next rolling week. e.g. Wednesday to Tuesday, or Thursday to Wednesday, rather than Monday to Sunday.
When to use the rollercoaster tab:
- If you don’t have many items left in this calendar week
- Checking in with Lime towards the end of the week
- Planning your schedule a few days in advance
Week Numbers (Next Four Weeks)
Four buttons showing upcoming weeks by their week number in the year (e.g. 43, 44, 45, 46). Each button displays that week’s scheduled activities when clicked.
Your current week is automatically selected when you first access The Week(s) Ahead - you see this week’s actions immediately without clicking anything.
Most users follow this routine: Clear Ambulance tab → Review current week → Work through today’s tasks → Preview next week’s load.
Filter Options
Below the week navigation are filters showing different activity types. Select filters to focus on specific task categories or view everything together.
All (default)
Shows check-ins, dated reminders, and scheduled posts combined in one chronological list. Use this for a complete overview of the week’s LinkedIn activity - everything you need to do appears together.
Check-ins
Shows only connections due for scheduled engagement based on their check-in frequencies (daily, every three days, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly).
These are the systematic relationship-building tasks - commenting on posts, sending DMs, reviewing activity - that build Citizen Scores and maintain strategic relationships. Check-ins recur automatically based on each connection’s schedule.
Filter to Check-ins when you want focused work sessions: “I’m spending the next hour engaging with scheduled connections, nothing else.”
Reminders
Shows only dated reminders - one-time, specific actions scheduled for particular dates. Examples:
- “Follow up on proposal sent last week”
- “Attend Alisha’s LinkedIn Live at 2pm”
- “Send birthday message”
- “Check in after their Q4 ends”
Unlike check-ins (which repeat), reminders are singular events. Once completed, they don’t recur unless you set a new reminder.
Filter to Reminders when you want to work through time-sensitive, specific actions separate from routine check-ins.
Posts
Shows only content scheduled in the Content Laboratory calendar. These are posts you’ve planned to publish on specific dates.
Important note: This only shows posts scheduled within Lime - it’s not connected to LinkedIn’s native scheduler. Posts appearing here still require manual publishing to LinkedIn. Lime doesn’t auto-post (yet!); it reminds you what content to publish when.
Filter to Posts when you’re focused on content publishing without distraction from relationship-building tasks.
Daily Task Lists
Below the filters, scheduled activities appear organized by date. Each date shows a list of tasks due that day.
What appears for each connection:
Connection name
Who you need to engage with. Click the name to open their full contact card with complete history, notes, tags, and Citizen Score.
Most recent activity (if any)
Shows when you last engaged with this connection and what type of interaction it was (comment, DM, chat). Provides context - if you commented yesterday and they’re due again today (daily schedule), you know you’re maintaining consistent presence. If most recent activity was two months ago despite weekly schedule, you’ve fallen behind.
Type of reminder
Describes what you need to do:
- Check-in - set in the follow up schedule for each contact (e.g. follow up weekly)
- Dated reminder - Specific reminders with a date, set for each contact
- Scheduled content - Content you have added to your Lime content calendar
Link to profile and activity feed
Click to open the connection’s LinkedIn profile or activity feed directly. For check-ins, open their activity feed (recent posts) so you can see if they’ve posted anything worth engaging with.
Three-dot menu (bottom right of card)
Click the three dots on any connection card to access action options:
- Reset Schedule - Resets the check-in timer based on the connection’s current schedule frequency. e.g. If the connection has weekly check-ins and you click Reset Schedule, you won’t be reminded again for one week from today. This is useful if they don’t have any recent activity, or if you don’t want to comment on their most recent post.
- Don’t Remind Me - Turns off all reminders for this connection permanently. They’re removed from check-in schedules and won’t appear in The Week(s) Ahead again unless you manually change their check-in schedule back to an active frequency.
CRITICAL WARNING: Don’t Remind Me is permanent until you manually reinstate reminders by changing the connection’s check-in schedule (in their contact card). Don’t click this accidentally - it’s not “skip this reminder once,” it’s “never remind me about this person again.”
The Week(s) Ahead makes engagement intentional:
- Time-efficient: Only see connections who matter to your strategy - no scrolling past tons of irrelevant content
- Complete: Every strategically important connection appears when scheduled
- Proactive: You decide engagement priorities and frequencies ahead of time
- Measurable: Clear view of whether you’re maintaining consistent presence with key relationships
- Prevents important connections from falling through cracks
- Creates predictable daily workflow “What should I do on LinkedIn today?” becomes a question with a clear answer
