Tag Settings is where you manage existing tags. You can edit colors and delete tags you no longer need.
Creating New Tags
New tags aren’t created in Settings. To create a tag:
- Go to a contact’s card
- Click Lime Actions > Tags
- Click the plus icon on the right of the dropdown list
- Enter the new tag name
Filtering Tags
By color: Choose specific colors to view only tags with those colors. All colors are automatically selected when you first open the page.
By usage: Sort tags from most used to least used, showing which tags are applied to the most connections.
Editing Tags
The list of your tags appears below the filters. You can:
- Delete tags: Click the X on the right of the tag name. The tag is removed from your entire Lime account. Contacts with this tag won’t be deleted, they simply lose that tag assignment.
- Change color: Click the pipette (eyedropper) icon and select a new color. Useful for color-coding tags by category or importance.
Important Note About Deleting Tags
Deleting a tag removes it everywhere in Lime - from all contacts, searches, and filters. The contacts themselves remain in your system, just without that specific tag. This action cannot be undone, so delete carefully.
