Advanced Search Filters

Advanced filters provide additional ways to narrow connection searches beyond basic text and field types.

Filters work in combination - select multiple criteria to create highly specific connection lists. All selected filters apply simultaneously using AND logic, so connections must match every selected criterion to appear in results.

Sort Options

Control the order connections appear in search results using the sort dropdown and ascending/descending toggle.

Date Connected

Sort by when connections were added to your LinkedIn network. Useful for working through connections chronologically, finding people from specific career periods, or prioritizing recent connections for relationship building.

Last Name

Sort alphabetically by surname. Particularly useful since LinkedIn only allows sorting by first name and limits viewing to 2,000 connections at a time. Lime’s last name sorting provides access to your entire network in alphabetical order by surname.

Last Interaction

Sort by the most recent logged activity with each connection. Shows who you’ve engaged with recently (comments, DMs, chats) versus connections you haven’t interacted with in a long time. Useful for identifying neglected relationships or confirming regular engagement with priority connections.
Note: Interactions will only show if Lime has auto-logged a comment, or if you’ve manually added it.

Citizen Score

Sort by relationship strength from strongest (100) to weakest (1), or reverse. Identifies your most developed relationships or finds weak connections that need attention.

Time to Check In

Sort by how soon each connection’s next scheduled check-in is due. Shows who needs engagement today, tomorrow, this week, etc. Helps prioritize daily workflow and ensures no scheduled check-ins are missed.

Ascending/Descending Toggle

Click the arrow icon at the top right to reverse sort order. Toggle applies to whichever sort option is selected:

  • Date Connected: oldest first ↔ newest first
  • Last Name: A-Z ↔ Z-A
  • Last Interaction: longest ago ↔ most recent
  • Citizen Score: lowest ↔ highest
  • Time to Check In: soonest ↔ furthest away

Date Range Filter

Choose the time period when connections were added to your network. All Time is selected automatically, showing connections from your entire LinkedIn history.
Available date ranges:

  • Today: Connections added today only
  • Yesterday: Connections added yesterday only
  • Last 7 days: Connections from the past week
  • Last 14 days: Connections from the past two weeks
  • Last 30 days: Connections from the past month
  • This week: Connections added during the current week
  • Last week: Connections from the previous week
  • This month: Connections added during the current month
  • Last month: Connections from the previous month
  • Last 3 months: Connections from the past quarter
  • This year: Connections added since January 1st of current year
  • Last year: Connections from the previous calendar year (January 1st - December 31st)
  • Individual years: Every year since you created your LinkedIn account appears as an option

Why date ranges matter:

  • Find people from specific career periods - for example, the three years you worked in marketing, the period when you met journalists regularly, or the year you were fundraising
  • Work through connections methodically by tackling one year at a time.
  • Ensure you’re following up with new connections by filtering to recent date ranges.
  • Identify connections from past roles who might be relevant to current projects.

Connection Status Filter

Filter by your relationship status with each person on LinkedIn. Everyone is selected automatically, showing all connection types.

Connection status options:

  • Everyone: All records regardless of LinkedIn connection status
  • Connected only: People you’re currently connected to on LinkedIn (mutual connections)
  • Following only: People you have added to Lime but aren’t connected to on LinkedIn
  • Disconnected only: People you were previously connected to but are no longer (they removed you, you removed them, or their profile was deleted)

Use the Disconnected filter to identify relationships that ended, check if important connections removed you, or clean up records of people no longer on LinkedIn.

Citizen Score Filter

Filter by relationship strength ranges. Any is selected automatically, showing connections at all score levels.
Score range options:

  • Any: All Citizen Score levels
  • 0-25: Weaker, just started, or neglected relationships
  • 26-50: Developing relationships or those needing attention
  • 51-75: Solid, established relationships
  • 76-100: Strong, well-maintained relationships

Combine score filtering with other criteria to find specific situations. For example, high-value tags (clients, referral sources) with low Citizen Scores (relationships needing urgent attention).

Commenters Only Filter

Select Commenters Only to show only connections who have commented on your LinkedIn posts. Identifies people who actively engage with your content - your most responsive connections, potential collaborators, or supporters worth investing extra relationship effort into.
Leave unselected to see all connections regardless of whether they’ve commented.

Label Filters

Filter by quick-save labels assigned in Card View:

  • Heart: We recommend selecting this for connections who are more than professional contacts - friends, close colleagues, or strong personal relationships
  • Star: We suggest using this one for influential connections - high follower counts, consistently strong engagement, or recognized industry figures
  • Microphone: We suggest you tick this one for connections who are prolific posters - connections who publish daily or multiple times per day
  • Has Reminders: Connections with dated reminders set - shows everyone you’ve scheduled specific follow-up actions for

Select one, multiple, or no labels. Multiple label selections show connections matching both or all selected labels (AND logic).

Segment Filter

Filter by which segment (stage) connections are at in your kanban boards. Shows connections at specific pipeline stages across all funnels, or within specific funnels if that option is available.

Use segment filtering to work through connections at particular stages. For example, everyone in “Proposal Sent” stage to follow up, or all connections in “Initial Outreach” to check if they’ve responded.

Show Deleted (Hidden) Records Toggle

Control whether hidden or inactive connections appear in search results.
Off (default): Hides two types of connections:

  • Connections manually hidden from Lime
  • Connections with check-in schedule set to “Never - Profile is inactive”

Results show only active, visible connections relevant to your current strategy.

On: Shows every record ever imported into Lime, including hidden connections and inactive profiles. Use when searching for someone you know exists but can’t find (they might be hidden), auditing your complete connection history, or reviewing connections you’ve marked inactive to decide if they should be reactivated.

Applying Filters

  • Apply button - Applies all selected filters to the current search. Connection list updates to show only results matching all criteria. Filters combine with any text search and field selections already entered.
  • Cancel button - Clears all filter selections and returns to the previous search state without applying changes. Use if you’ve selected wrong filters or changed your mind about filtering criteria.

Using Advanced Filters Effectively

Some useful examples of using Lime’s advanced filters (these only work if you have the right tags and boards set up):

  • Systematic connection review: Sort by Date Connected, filter by one year, work through that year’s connections updating tags and check-in schedules, then move to the next year.
  • Neglected high-value relationships: Filter by important tags (Client, Referral Source), low Citizen Score (0-25), and Last Interaction (sort oldest first) to find critical relationships you’ve lost touch with.
  • Leads you forgot about: Filter by ‘Sent Proposal’ stage in Advanced Search > Lime Segments, and work through anyone you haven’t had a “no” or “yes” from.
  • Recent connection follow-up: Filter by Date Connected (Last 7 days or Last 14 days), sort by Citizen Score (lowest first) to identify new connections who need relationship building.
  • Content engagement analysis: Select Commenters Only, sort by Citizen Score (highest first) to find your most engaged supporters - these are potential collaboration partners or people to feature.
  • Pipeline stage work: Filter by specific segment, sort by Last Interaction (oldest first) to find connections stuck in that stage who need follow-up.
  • Geographic or industry deep dives: Combine tag filters (e.g. London and SaaS), sort by Last Interaction to work through specific subsets of your network systematically.
