15 minutes daily beats 2 hours weekly
You’ve been with Lime for 5 days. You’ve imported connections, set schedules, captured ideas, uploaded analytics, organized with tags.
Now let’s talk about the habit that makes all of this work.
The Daily 15:
Every day (or most days - we’re not monsters), spend 15 minutes in The Week(s) Ahead:
- Clear any overdue items (the ambulance icon)
- Work through today’s check-ins - comment on 3-5 people’s posts
- Complete any reminders due today
- Log everything you did
That’s it. 15 minutes of focused, strategic LinkedIn work.
Why this beats random scrolling:
When you open LinkedIn without a plan, you scroll the feed, engage with whoever appears, and 40 minutes vanishes. You were active, but was it strategic?
The Week(s) Ahead gives you a list. Work through the list. Done. You engaged with strategically important people, not whoever the algorithm randomly surfaced.
15 minutes daily is sustainable. Consistency wins.
LinkedIn tip of the day: Engagement is a lagging indicator. You won’t see results this week from engaging consistently this week. You’ll see results in 4-6 weeks.
Most people give up after two weeks because “it’s not working.” They quit right before it would have worked.
The people who succeed on LinkedIn aren’t smarter or more creative. They’re just more consistent over longer periods.
Also: If you comment on someone’s post and they don’t engage back, that’s normal. Most people won’t reciprocate immediately. Keep showing up anyway. Relationship building is measured in months, not days.
