Posts with images or videos get significantly more engagement than text-only posts. Lime lets you add media to your LinkedIn content directly within the Content Laboratory, so everything stays organized in one place.
Two Ways to Add Media
Method 1: Add Media While Writing
When creating or editing a post in Start a Post:
- Click the Add Media button at the bottom left of the post writing screen
- Select the image or video file from your computer
- The media uploads and attaches to your post
- Preview how the post looks with media using the Preview panel on the right
Use this method when you’re writing a post and know exactly which media belongs with it.
Method 2: Upload Media to Library First
To organize media separately before attaching to posts:
- Go to Content Laboratory > Media
- Click Choose files
- Select images or videos from your computer
- Files upload to your Media library
Organizing media into folders:
- Click the three dots on the top right of any media thumbnail
- Select Move to folder
- Choose the destination folder or create a new one
- Media moves to that folder for organization
Use this method when you’re building a media library (brand images, product photos, recurring visuals) that you’ll use across multiple posts.
Accessing Media Library
Your uploaded media lives in Content Laboratory > Media, organized into folders you create. When writing posts, you can select media from your library instead of uploading fresh each time - useful for brand consistency or recurring content types.
Supported File Types
Images: JPG, PNG, GIF
Videos: MP4, MOV (check maximum file size limits in the upload interface)
