Bulk import all your LinkedIn connections into Lime, bringing your entire network into one organized, manageable system.
How It Works
Clicking this option opens two panels:
- Left: Import section in Lime with instructions and upload interface
- Right: LinkedIn’s Download My Data page
Step 1: Request Your Data from LinkedIn
On the LinkedIn page (right side):
- Click the top button “Download larger data archive”
- Click Request archive
- LinkedIn prepares your connection data (this takes a few minutes to 24 hours, but usually not long)
- LinkedIn sends an email when the file is ready
Step 2: Download the File
Open the email from LinkedIn and download the zip file.
Critical: Do not open or unzip the file. Keep it as a compressed zip file - Lime needs it in this format for import.
Step 3: Import to Lime
In the Lime import section (left side):
- Click Choose file
- Navigate to where you saved the zip file (usually your Downloads folder)
- Select the LinkedIn zip file
- Click Check It & Import It
Lime processes the file and imports all connections into your network.
Note About Skipped Connections
It’s very normal for Lime to skip some connections during import. This happens because the data isn’t always perfect, some accounts may have been banned or deactivated on LinkedIn, or other LinkedIn-related reasons. The vast majority of your connections will import successfully, and any skipped connections are typically accounts with data issues rather than problems with Lime’s import process.
Important Note About Data Safety
Importing connections never overwrites existing Lime data. The import updates connection details (names, job titles, companies) but preserves:
- All notes you’ve added
- All logged activity history
- Tags and segments
- Check-in schedules
- Citizen Scores
- Any other information you’ve added to connections
This means you can safely re-import periodically to update connection information without losing the relationship data you’ve built in Lime.
